Multiverser
Game Support
Thank you for choosing Multiverser. This section of the web site is designed to provide assistance with play, including various products designed especially for use with the game and its supplements.
Referee's Rules- On the Fly Character Creation, a simplified system of generating player characters swiftly which should have been in the rules, if we'd realized it at the time.
- The Magic Skills Worksheet, a printable quick questionaire to hand to players trying to create their own magic skills or to use for designing spells for use in your own worlds, which should provide all the essential questions for working out the power and price of any magic.
- The Magic Skills Worksheet Key accompanies this, providing quick access to the bonuses and penalties applied for many popular variations on magic skills to streamline the skill creation process.
The First Book of Worlds- NagaWorld
- The Peter Adams letter, left in Michael's Foxhole, in PDF format so referees can print it as a handout for players.
- The Bryant Andrew Stevens letter, also found in Michael's Foxhole, again in PDF format for easy printing as a handout.
- Anyone who wishes to give their Dar Koni a bit of flavor might find this Dar Koni time system, devised by M. Joseph Young for his own games, useful.
- Tristan's Labyrinth
- The Map used for the labyrinth (for instructions on its use, see the world description). Having multiple copies of this map can make it much easier to track character movements over distances.
- Some have asked for pictures of the monsters which inhabit the lair. Valdron Art Director Jim Denaxas has offered his renderings of the firebeast, headbutter, minidragon, rockhurler, rockshooter, squirter, and whipsnake. You're on your own on the winged spider, but if you envision a ladybug about two feet across with eight legs, you're on the right track.
- Mary Piper Twin Scenarios
- The Most Dangerous Game
- The Map of the island is available in PDF format so you don't have to mark up the one in your book while you track the hunt.
The Second Book of Worlds- The Perpetual Barbecue
- The excerpt from Dr. Hess' journal, discussing time travel theory, is available as a PDF file to print as a handout to players trying to unravel the mystery.
The Third Book of Worlds is approaching completion. Once it is released, there will be maps and other play aids here.

- The Game Ideas Unlimited series, by M. Joseph Young originally published on Gaming Outpost, is now being made available in printed form in partnership with Cafe Press. The first collection of these is now available, and more are on the way.
- Referees and interested players are encouraged to visit the Official Multiverser Forum at Gaming Outpost to ask questions, observe active play, and get opinions from players.
Unofficial and Fan Support Materials
- Multiverser co-author M. Joseph Young--known as M. J. to gamers around the world--has written hundreds of pages of articles and support materials related to gaming in general. A few of those which might be of particular interest to Multiverser referees are indexed, including such world-building materials as how to design legal systems for imaginary worlds, how to create martial arts styles in Multiverser, and more.
- Eric "World-a-Week" Ashley is a prolific fan who loves Multiverser and has created more worlds than we can count, plus written about world creation and other Multiverser issues. A few of his more valuable contributions are indexed, including his science fiction worldbook and his book of placeholder worlds, published by him under license from Valdron Inc.
The site is new as of September, 2007, and will take some time to rebuild; please be patient, but also report any problems found.
