Psionicist Weapon Proficiencies
The Psionicist is a second edition class which is reasonably compatible with first edition rules, and has been incorporated into the MyWorld campaign.  The two systems are not fully compatible, and a few details of the Psionicist's armor and weapon proficiencies may have been adjusted slightly in the adaptation.  (We've been incorporating Psionicists in the First Edition game for a decade, and have long since forgotten what changes had to be made to the weapons list.)

Armor is divided into two types.  Certain armor is permissible, but will interfere with the psionicist's ability to perform his mental tricks.  Other armor is used without such detrimental effects.

Freely Used Used with Penalties
Hide Armor Banded Mail
Leather Armor Bronze Plate
Padded Armor Chain Mail
Leather Scale (if available)* Elfin Chain Mail (if available)*
Buckler Field Plate
Small Shield Full Plate
Small Wooden Shield Plate Mail
Studded Leather Armor Ring Mail
Metal Scale Mail
Splint Mail
*These types of armor fall within the category, but may not be readily available, especially at the beginning of the game.  Leather Scale is oriental armor, not normally available in the occidental milieu.  Elfin Chain Mail is generally available only directly from elfin craftsmen, and its availability to player characters is at the discretion of the referee.

Like magic-users, psionicists have better things to do with their time than study weapons.  Thus they are restricted to smaller weapons which are less complicated to use.  These weapons are permitted to psionicists:

*The Hand Crossbow is a drow weapon, and its availability is restricted, entirely at the discretion of the referee.  It is generally too expensive for characters to purchase initially.

(excerpted from Multiverser), the highly valued Confessions of a Dungeons & Dragons™ Addict, along with special rules and player aids in both written and computer formats, this site was highly praised by RAWS, linked by Gary Gygax, and is worth a look even if you don't like what you found here.

The best new role playing game....

The Multiverser Information Center
The complexity of creating a D&D character always reminds me of how much simpler it is to play
Multiverser®, the game which incorporates all other games, all other worlds, everything imaginable, with nothing else to buy.

A consideration of time travel....

Temporal Anomalies in Popular Movies
There are enough time travel films out there now that most of the things which could go wrong in time have been shown on the silver screen.  This page applies a new conception of how time works (discussed in the
Multiverser® game system to help referees sort out game scenarios in which player characters travel in time) to unraveling the most popular of such movies.  An Event Horizon Hot Spot and Sci Fi Weekly Site of the Week which has won the author national recognition as an authority on time travel in fiction.
